About Ghijung Kim, AGPCNP-C
Ghijung Kim, AGPCNP-C is a nurse practitioner with extensive critical care, nephrology, and psychiatry experience. She received a bachelor degree in South Korea and received Master Science of Nursing from Walden University. Ms. Kim is a board-certified nurse practitioner. She is also an active member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners as well as the National Kidney Foundation.
Prior to joining ADC nephrology in 2018 as a nephrologist nurse practitioner, she worked as a critical care registered nurse to take care of patients with the heart transplant, open heart surgery, sepsis, cardiac, respiratory failure, chemical withdrawal and kidney disease. Then, her heart moved to patients with kidney disease deeply when she cared for dialysis patients in the critical care units.
That said, she became an acute care dialysis registered nurse to take care of critically ill patients with renal disease in various acute care hospitals. Also, she worked as a home therapy nurse to take care ESRD patients so that they can have a high quality of life in their own home comfortably. While she was attending the nurse practitioner program, she was trained by Austin’s best nephrologists. Upon graduation, she joined Austin Diagnostic Clinic with the great renal expertise as a nephrology nurse practitioner. She strives to deliver the best quality of medical care compassionately using her substantial expertise.
In her free time, she enjoys running, swimming, and traveling with her family. She is bilingual with English and Korean.
