Dr. Lauren Kastner is a board-certified general surgeon. She was raised in Houston, Texas and completed her undergraduate studies at University of Texas at Austin. She then went on to complete medical school at Texas Tech Medical School in Lubbock, Texas and her surgical residency at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, Texas.
Dr. Kastner practiced in rural Arkansas in the Mississippi delta region, a very underserved region, for five years prior to returning to Austin. She has a special interest in laparoscopic surgery, gallbladder surgery, hernia repair, breast surgery, skin surgery and robotics.
In her free time, Dr. Kastner enjoys spending time with her husband, young son, two Catahoula dogs and a cat. She also enjoys yoga and running.
