COVID Vaccination Updates as of December, 2023:
The CDC is recommending the 2023 – 2024 updated COVID vaccines to be obtained by everyone 6 months and older!
3 updated formulations
- Moderna and Spikevax
- Pfizer and Comirnaty (Only offered at ADC for patients under Texas Vaccine for Children Program)
- Novavax (Not offered at ADC)
Recommendations:
- Children aged 6 months - 4 years = patients will need multiple doses of the updated COVID vaccine
- Everyone age 5 and older should get 1 dose of the updated COVID 19 vaccine
- Patients who are moderately or severely immunocompromised may get an additional dose of updated COVID 19 vaccine
- Exact dosing schedule with updated COVID 19 vaccine will be dependent on previous COVID vaccine history
Where to get the vaccination:
Call your ADC Family Practice, Internal Medicine or Pediatric office to schedule an appointment. Since the vaccine is no longer supplied by the State of Texas, the vaccine will be billed to your insurance payor and you will be asked to present your insurance card.

It is the recommendation that ALL patients (6 months and older) receive a FLU and Updated COVID vaccination to help prevent illnesses to yourself, family and friends.
