About Neelu Kohli CDCES, RDN, LDN

Neelu Kohli RDN, LDN, CDCES has been practicing as a Registered Dietitian / Certified Diabetes Educator and Care Specialist for more than 15 years. Neelu also has a certificate in Integrative and Functional Nutrition. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Mumbai, India and then completed the Coordinated Program of Dietetics at the University of Texas at Austin.

She started working in a hospital setting and then transitioned to the outpatient setting at Austin Diagnostic Clinic. As a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, she understands the complexity of diabetes management and is experienced in insulin management, continuous glucose monitoring systems, and insulin pump therapy.

She enjoys establishing rapport with her patients and providing nutrition counseling that is evidence based, culturally sensitive, compassionate and respects patient’s beliefs and traditions. Her ultimate goal is to empower patients to manage their own health and provide practical solutions to make food a pleasurable experience. She learns from her patients and their stories, which makes nutrition counseling a gratifying experience.

Neelu enjoys spending time with her family and friends, hiking, gardening, traveling, cooking and reading.
