About

As a “military brat,” Dr. Villacis has lived and travelled all over the world, but has now built some strong roots in Austin for over the last 15 years. He and his family have enjoyed all of what Central Texas has to offer.

“Dr. V” welcomes seeing both adults and children for their allergy/immunology needs. He is also fluent in Spanish, and enjoys listening to and conversing with patients in a collaborative fashion. He and his colleague, Dr. Oberhoff, work together to take care of a variety of disorders that include not only general allergy symptoms, but asthma, chronic cough, food allergies, recurrent sinusitis, hives, antibody immunodeficiencies, and eosinophilic esophagitis among others.

Being part of multispecialty group also enhances the patient’s care if other specialists are needed. He is committed to a comprehensive evaluation with conservative, practical management of his patients with a laid back, genuine approach. The ADC Allergy group also supports evidence based use of allergy subcutaneous immunotherapy (shots) as well as sublingual immunotherapy (drops). The use of new biologic agents are also promoted for the appropriate patients.

Dr. V also serves several administrative and governance roles for the ADC and St. David’s Healthcare. He is currently serving as the President/ Board Chairman for the ADC Physician group. He has played an active role in physician and organizational leadership, strategic initiatives, and recently competed a Masters degree in Medical Leadership and Management.

He has repeatedly been recognized as a ‘Top Doc’ in his field, featured in Austin Monthly.
