Sherwin Yen, MD

About

Sherwin Yen is a board-certified endocrinologist.  He earned his undergraduate degree in Materials Science Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.  He attended medical school at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western University.  While at Case Western, he also completed his Master’s in Public Health.  He went on to complete his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Endocrinology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Dr. Yen joined the Austin Diagnostic Clinic in 2014, where he is currently serving as the Section Chief of Endocrinology since 2015 and board member since 2019. Since 2022, Dr. Yen has been awarded a ‘Top Doc’ of Austin recognition, featured in Austin Monthly.

Dr. Yen enjoys caring for his patients and believes in partnering with his patients to help them improve their health. He provides evidence-based care and believes in using shared decision-making to develop treatment plans.  Dr. Yen evaluates and manages a wide range of Endocrine conditions, including but not limited to diabetes, thyroid, pituitary and adrenal disorders.  Dr. Yen is a member of the Endocrine Society.

Dr. Yen lives in Austin with his wife and three daughters. In his free time, he enjoys working on his bicycles and going on long bicycle rides.
