About

Yvette Gutierrez-Schieffer is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist who treats gynecology patients exclusively. An Austin native, she completed her undergraduate at the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She went on to the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas for her medical degree and then completed internship and residency at UT Health Science Center in San Antonio.

In 1993, Dr. Yvette Gutierrez-Schieffer joined Austin Diagnostic Clinic, where she has been the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynecology since 1998 , a board member since 2015 and PAC Assistant CMO since 2018.

Dr. Yvette Gutierrez-Schieffer has cared for the obstetrical and gynecology needs for patients for the last 30 years. She is excited to focus her practice on treating women’s gynecologic issues using the latest technologies including minimally invasive surgical and robotic procedures. She is also fluent in Spanish, her first language.

In her free time, she loves to paint and do projects around the house. She has raised three wonderful people, two daughters and one son, and is married to her husband, Mike, who is also a native Austinite and fellow alumni Longhorn Band member.

La Dra. Yvette Gutierrez-Schieffer es una obstetra y ginecóloga certificada por la Junta que solo trata a pacientes de ginecología. Originaria de Austin, se graduó como Licenciada en Biología en la Universidad de Texas. Continuó su formación en la Universidad de Texas Southwestern en Dallas para obtener su grado en medicina y completó sus prácticas y residencia en UT Health Science Center en San Antonio.

En 1993, la Dra. Yvette Gutiérrez-Schieffer se incorporó a Austin Diagnostic Clinic, donde se ha desempeñado como Jefa de Obstetricia y Ginecología desde 1998. Además, es miembro de la Junta desde 2015 y CMO asistente de PAC desde 2018.

La Dra. Yvette Gutiérrez-Schieffer se ha dedicado a atender las necesidades obstétricas y ginecológicas de las pacientes en los últimos 30 años. Con un gran entusiasmo, enfoca su práctica profesional en tratar los problemas ginecológicos de las mujeres con las tecnologías más modernas, como cirugías mínimamente invasivas y procedimientos robóticos. También habla con fluidez español, su lengua materna.

En su tiempo libre, le gusta pintar y hacer proyectos en casa. Crio a tres personas maravillosas, dos hijas y un hijo, y está casada con Mike, que también nació en Austin y forma parte de la Longhorn Band de exalumnos.
